HongYu Ru is a graduate student in the Department of Statistics at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has completed her Master's of Science and obtained systematic training in quantitative methods in her previous study and research as a physics student.

Her current research interests include statistical methodology, categorical data analysis, data analysis of clinical trials, and the application of statistical methods in finance.

HongYu's work at the center focuses on the data management and the application of statistical method through collaborating with other experts in the center.
